About the Author:
Dr. Karl Hemingway Krieger worked in New York City as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for over forty years completing over 15,000 open heart operations during his career. He held the positions of the Philip Geier Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vice Chairman of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He lives with his family in Southampton, New York.
