I am the Sky: Stories of Love, Family, and Life’s Unpredictability
Kelly Cleeve
I wish I were a bright blue sky – clear and vibrant, fresh and full of promise.
In reality, I’m often gray and drizzly. Light and fluffy. Deep purple and swirly. And occasionally, a burnt orange sunset.
I’ve learned to own all of my colors. Each horizon, whether ominous or peaceful, is stunning in its own way. Every life event, whether tragic or hilarious, weave together to form a beautiful life. I don’t want to edit any of it.
This book is a love letter to my life and my mental health. I hope the tears of joy, surprise, and sorrow I shed serve as a reminder to us all—every morning that we get to wake up and search the sky for clues about what the day might hold is a gift.
Today, I might be a hot mess, but tomorrow I might kick ass and take names! Clouds come and go, but the sky remains blue underneath it all.
